Album name: | Paul / LED Downlighters |
Comments: | I know I must sound like a broken record, but this is what grinds my gears about LED! These replaced PL downlighters. One by one they failed until only the odd one or two just shimmer. This is not acceptable reliability for this technology. At least with PL you could replace the lamps (assuming the HF ballast wasn't dead!). With LED you usually can't. |

That is just attrocious! Even when they were all working during that brief period, the light ouput was nowhere near that of the PL units that preceded them!

These must be cheap nasty ones?, most of these come with a separate driver, we have about 16 of the larger sized ones in our showroom, running from 7:30 in the morning until 9 at night, and have been in over 2 years now and still going strong.

Maybe Rich... I can't tell! There are also 2 2x2 flat panels out in the same unit.
