Nothing beats the colours during warmup of a GEC SLI/H lamp, wonderful to see another of these in action!

Must dig one of mine out and give it a run. In my opinion, the warm-up of linear lamps (especially the GEC versions) beats any other lamp. They really do look fantastic, especially right after you fire it up!

You must! These lamps are an absolute joy to fire up! All that's needed is a 5ft 65w switchstart circuit! Interesting that GEC went to the trouble of making brass caps for their linear sodiums whereas Thorn just made do with their regular pressed aluminium T12 fluorescent caps!
