277v 60hz american m47 ballast

Hello All, i was wondering if its ok to run the above on the 277v tap at 240 50hz? I am thinking of ordering one and some 1000w mh and mercury from the states but need to know if the ballast would be ok

yes you can do this it will work Just fine. its something I am planning on doing at some point (Just as a tip there do exist some 240V 50Hz versions just have a look around but there hard to find)
