Marlin NM3 charging problem

Postby Jonny-m » Fri Dec 07, 2012 1:49 pm

Excuse the long post but here it goes.

I recently won a marlin NM3 non maintained emergency light off eBay and it arrived yesterday. I connected it up to the mains and before switching on the power i plugged the battery in and it lit up so I fired up the mains supply and went to work. Last nite I thought I'd cut the power supply and see how long it would run on battery power after only being on charge for approx 10 hrs. I got around 2 hours before it started to dim so I turned supply back on and went to bed. When I got up I noticed the charging led wasn't on so I cut supply and it came on. Turned supply back on light went off and charging led came on. 5min later and the charging led went off again. Any ideas anyone?

Hi,
Measure the charging current, by putting your current meter in series with the battery.
Should be around 100mA or above.
